Since beginning my tourism career in 2008 as an assistant guide and group leader, I have gained extensive experience working with travelers from around the world. Today, as the founder of Mystic Mountain Adventure, I combine my local knowledge, mountaineering experience, and dedication to exceptional service to create unforgettable journeys across Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and India.  Verified Great Adventure to Mardi Himal with safe and comfortable !
I went to Mardi Himal 7 days trek with Mystic Mountain Travel and Adventure in September. My journey went so greatful and comfortable with my guide Pasang Sherpa and trail itself greenery and breathtaking views. Local people and lodges are so friendly and comfort zone. The company manage my transportation flight to Pokhara and back to Kathmandu and local vehicle in time and flexible way. I highly recommended this travel company with guide Pasang for any travelers.  Verified Exceptional Guidance and Hospitality on the Manaslu Circuit
March was my second attempt at the Manaslu Circuit. I had to abort the first one in October 2025 due to weather forecasts, and I'm glad I did because it gave me the chance to be on the trail with Urken and Pasang. Both were extremely hospitable and made sure I faced no issues throughout the trail. They had a really good understanding of the weather, the trail, and adapted the itinerary to my comfort. We skipped the usual stop at Deng and stayed at Pewa for a quiet, less crowded evening. Even though forecasts didn't mention it, we faced heavy snowfall on our way from Lihi to Samagaon and chose to cut short the day and stay at Shyala instead. Every decision was taken keeping my experience in mind. Urken made sure the food served for every meal was fresh, well cooked, and portion sizes were appropriate (they tend to serve huge portion sizes and I have a small appetite). He made sure every portion or detour we took on the trail was safe, and even called out the tricky sections so that we are more careful and don't stop unnecessarily. I damaged my trekking shoes on the way to Jagat and Pasang helped me with a temporary fix before we could buy a fresh pair at Philim. It's understated how such details keep adding to you having a great time. They make you realise you are in safe hands and want to come back to the beauty of the Hiamalayan trails. I am sure any trek I go on in the future would be with them.

 Verified Couldn't have asked for a better first trek experience
We had such a great experience with Urken during our trek through the Annapurna Circuit. Urken always made sure we were comfortable with the tea houses on offer and was even gracious enough to treat us to some local farm grow fruit throughout the trek.  Verified Second Trek with Urken — Exceptional Again
This was my second trek with Urken and Mystic Mountains Travel and Adventure, and once again the experience was outstanding. This time I completed the Manaslu Circuit with friends, and throughout the entire trek Urken proved himself to be kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and incredibly reliable. We always felt safe, well supported, and well informed. His knowledge of the track, the mountains, local culture, and trekking conditions was exceptional. His two porters were also amazing — friendly, hardworking, strong, and always looking out for us. It was clear they were respected and genuinely cared for by Urken, which says a lot about the company. The Manaslu Circuit was challenging but incredibly rewarding. We experienced everything from rain and snow to sunshine and perfect conditions crossing Larke Pass. What I loved most was how authentic the trek felt — experiencing Buddhist culture, local villages, and life in the mountains along the way. I would highly recommend Mystic Mountains Travel and Adventure to anyone considering trekking in Nepal. Easily a 5-star experience.

We cannot recommend Urken highly enough. From our initial correspondence, greeting us at Kathmandu airport to completing the 12 day trek, Urken Sherper's calm, safe and truly expert hands made the experience unforgettable and magical. My husband and I joined our friend on the Manaslu Circuit - we are all in our mid 50s and while we had trained for the 12 day trek, this was going to be our first time at altitude. Our safety and enjoyment was his number one priority - Urken organised fantastic strong and friendly porters, gave us local and cultural context, negotiated all the passes, teahouses, meals, and road travel. We are hoping to come back and trek again with our adult children and will definitely employ Mystic Mountain Travel and Adventure. Urken knew many local people we encoutered on the trek and they treated him with respect - he knows the Himalayas and his gentle nature and knowledge make him a wonderful guide.

 Verified Great guide – very caring and calm
Urken was a great guide. We had to change our itinerary because we got sick just on the day we wanted to start our trek. Urken always had a plan B and was very flexible regarding our ideas and wishes. In the end we got to see the beautiful mountain range of Annapurna and Manaslu. In spite of having cold the weather was perfect and snow - capped mountain views are really attractive. Lakpa our guide was professional with smile face and 24/7 customer care which goes valued our journey. Urken organised all our transport, permit and essential information. Over 11 days in some of the most breathtaking scenery on earth, Urken proved to be the perfect guide in every sense: thoughtful, meticulous, and genuinely wonderful company from start to finish.

His passion for the mountains is contagious, and it's obvious that guiding isn't just a job for him, it's his calling. Along the way he shared countless insights into Nepalese culture and history that made the experience so much richer than the trail alone.

My husband and I joined our friend for this trek — all of us in our mid-50s and first-timers at altitude. Urken made our safety and enjoyment his absolute priority. He organised fantastic porters, provided rich local and cultural context throughout, and handled every detail — teahouses, meals, passes, and road travel — seamlessly and with such good humour.
What stood out most was how warmly he was greeted by locals along the route. He clearly knows and loves the Himalayas deeply, and that knowledge and respect shines through in everything he does.
