- Overview

Annapurna Circuit Trekking has been recognized as one of the world’s best trekking trails since tourism opened in 1980. From then on, it became a famous trekking destination. Nowadays, there are so many other great destinations besides the Annapurna Circuit, like the Manaslu Circuit Trek and so many other destinations. Meanwhile, because of the roadway, it has become less populated but still rewarding. It escorts you through the Marsyandi River, Rhododendron Forest, alpine forest, local Gurung and Manangi inhabitants, and over the foothills of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. These ultimate treks give you the best gift of views like Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. Mount Manaslu, Annapurna South, and Fishtail. Annapurna Circuit trek is not only famous for trekking experience, but also the natural hot spring, world deepest George – known as Kaligandaki George, world’s highest altitude lake(TIlicho Lake), incredible landscapes and charming waterfall, (Ruptse waterfall), Bung waterfall, so many varieties of Orchids and so many kinds of Rhododendron forest, sub-tropical lowlands, valleys, bamboo, oak forest, alpine meadows, 440 kinds of bird and Himalayan animals like musk deer, blue sheep, languor monkey and snow leopard.

Walking through the Marsyangdi river valley, alpine forest, isolated villages, and deserted coastline, you will also encounter friendly and warm-hearted people of different cultures and local inhabitants offering a fascinating glimpse of traditional rural life.

Many years ago, tourist start this trek from Besisahar, the capital city of Lamjung district, but now, because of the road construction, the trek starts from Syange, Jagat, or Darapani. After reaching Manang tourist need to acclimatize for their consuming high-altitude risk. The Highest point of the Annapurna Circuit trek is 5416 meters from sea level, known as the Thong–La Pass. After reaching High Camp and trying to cross the pass the next morning, it’s better to wake up early in the morning and start at 4: 30 am after a light breakfast and cross before 8 or 9 am to skip the terrible wind and snow in the main season. Overall, this Annapurna Circuit trek is slightly challenging but rewarding.
